Shipping for Harpsicle Harp Series Basic & Deluxe Packages
Shipping costs CAD$55 plus taxes for Harpsicle, Sharpsicle, Flatsicle packages. Deluxe Fullsicle packages have free shipping. We ship via Canada Post Expedited Parcel Post insured to anywhere in Canada. A tracking number is available. The harp will be well packed with foam peanuts and double wall cardboard.

Shipping for Noteworthy Lap Harps
Shipping costs CAD$55 plus taxes for all Noteworthy Lap Harps via Canada Post Expedited Parcel Post insured to anywhere in Canada. West Coast Harps will email you a tracking number. The shipping carton we use is well-reinforced and is filled with foam packing peanuts and foam inserts.

Shipping for Dusty Strings Ravenna 26 and Allegro 26 Harps
The Ravenna 26E and the Ravenna 26D harps are too large for Canada Post. West Coast harps uses a custom perfume shipper with heated vans which specialises in gentle handling. We ship insured in a custom carton from Dusty Strings and West Coast Harps adds an additional layer outside to ensure the carton surfaces are triple walled. The harp is further cushioned with custom foam package inserts and foam packing peanuts for premium cushioning of the harp.

   Insure our shipments to our specified terminals.
   Minimise freight handling, risk & costs by shipping terminal to terminal.
   Use heated vans.
   Ship Wednesdays when the vans are relatively empty across Canada.
   Offer a tracking number.

   Pick up the harp at the shipping terminal in a timely fashion.
   Closest terminal at the Sameday Terminal Locator.

Enquire for other locations. On occasion we will ship Ravenna 26x's by Greyhound Express and UPS Canada weather permitting [unheated shipping] to more remote locations in Canada.

Shipping for Dusty Strings Ravenna 34 & Crescendo 34 Harps
The Ravenna 34 and Crescendo 34 harps are too large for Canada Post and UPS Canada. West Coast harps uses a custom perfume shipper with heated vans which specialises in gentle handling. We ship insured using a premium custom made solid aluminum returnable shipping chest. On occassion we use a triple walled custom carton with foam peanuts for a lush ride.

   Insure our shipments to our specified terminals.
   Minimise freight handling, risk & costs by shipping terminal to terminal.
   Use heated vans.
   Use an aluminum shipping chest.
   Ship Wednesdays when the vans are relatively empty across Canada.

Shipping For Dusty FHx Harps
Shipping a large floor harp is a normally a very difficult task. We make it extremely simple. We cover all the bases for you. West Coast harps uses a custom perfume shipper with heated vans who specialises in gentle handling. We use a custom made solid aluminum returnable shipping chest.

   Insure our shipments to our specified terminals.
   Minimise freight handling, risk & costs by shipping terminal to terminal.
   Use heated vans.
   Use an aluminum shipping chest.
   Ship Wednesdays when the vans are relatively empty across Canada.
   Offer a tracking number.

You:
   Have no additional fees above our Email Quote.
   Pick up the harp at the shipping terminal in a timely fashion.
   Will simply release the chest to be shipped back to us at our expense.
   Can immediately pack the harp into your car without packaging issues.
   Closest terminal at the Sameday Terminal Locator.

Enquire for other locations. Generally the large harps must be picked up at one of the shipping terminals listed above. West Coast Harps may use alternate airline carriers to locations in Northern Canada including the Yukon YT, The Northwest Territories NT, and Nunavut NU.

Shipping for Hammered Dulcimers
For Dusty Strings D10, Prelude & Apprentice Dulcimer Packages the shipping charges are CAD$55 plus taxes via Canada Post Expedited Parcel Post insured to anywhere in Canada. A tracking number will be available. A custom manufactured double-walled shipping carton has been expressly created by Dusty Strings and is tripled walled by West Coast Harps before shipping to you.

The Intermediate Sized Dusty Strings Dulcimers are CAD$75 via Canada Post Expedited Parcel Post insured to anywhere in Canada.

For all the The Largest Models of Dusty Strings Dulcimers which are too large for Canada Post shipping charges are CAD$125 plus taxes to all major urban Canadian centres. West Coast harps uses a custom perfume shipper with heated vans which specialises in gentle handling. We ship insured in a custom carton from Dusty Strings and West Coast Harps adds an additional layer outside to ensure the carton surfaces are triple walled. The harp is further cushioned with foam packing peanuts as required for premium cushioning of the dulcimer. Other carriers (usually UPS) may be considered for more remote locations.

The Shipping Terminal for the Larger Models Dusty Strings Dulcimers:

Shipping for Bowed Psalteries
Shipping costs CAD$30 plus taxes for all Psalteries via Canada Post Expedited Parcel Post insured to anywhere in Canada. West Coast Harps will email you a tracking number. The shipping carton we use is well-reinforced and is filled with foam packing peanuts and foam padding.

Shipping by Airlines
West Coast Harps may use alternate airline carriers to locations across Canada or in the North including the Yukon YT, The Northwest Territories NT, and Nunavut NU. Shipping charges are higher [actual cost] and West Coast Harps charges an additional CAD$120 plus taxes packing and handling fee. A custom carton is usually used for this purpose and West Coast Harps ensure all the carton surfaces are triple walled and strong. Contact Alison if you wish to know more...

Shipping Insurance for Harps and Dulcimers
All insurances offered cover damages due to shipping related mechanical and handling excesses or loss during transit. West Coast Harps cannot, however, insure for harp damage due to extreme temperatures during shipping. This unfortunately is an industry standard practice. We use heated shipping in certain months due to Canadian climatic extremes. We delay mid-summer shipments during heatwaves. The West Coast Harps custom harp shipping chest for harps is designed to ameliorate all short to medium term temperature changes giving your harp the most luxurious ride possible. Industry/ harpmaker's experience shows that cold temperatures are generally not of concern when shipping harps and dulcimers. We prefer to ship in heated vans and use a heated warehouse network as a precaution. Enquire if you have a concern.

We always ship insured (as above) with Canada Post and the major airlines. We usually ship larger harps with Sameday Worldwide insured to any of their terminals. Shipments at your request with Sameday affiliate and other LTL freight carriers are usually uninsured.

Once your instrument is accepted and you have released the empty West Coast Harps shipping chest for its prepaid return to Victoria, your instrument is subsequently covered under the new harp warranties and guarantees of the respective instrument maker or as per the West Coast Harps used harp warranty. Consigned harps are sold on an "as is" basis.

WCH Shipping Chest
We use an aluminum shipping chest (pics) for most of our floor harp shipments.

• You simply remove just the harp and its padded case at your designated terminal - Sameday Terminal Locator.
• The chest is automatically returned to us in Victoria at our expense.
• You can use your normal vehicle without having the need for a large van as necessary for the large traditional cardboard box packaging with foam peanuts.
• Our chest shipping rates compare favourably with the cardboard box packaging equivalents.
• We use heated (12C) vans & warehousing in winter freezes.
• We do not ship during heat waves (+30C).
• The harp's ride is luxurious & internal harp temperature changes are gradual.
• It is very simple and bulletproof way of receiving a harp without all the recycling issues.
• A re-usable chest saves the planet a little too
