CAD$ Canadian
Canadian Pricing for Canadian Customers
West Coast Harps endeavours to be price competitive with
your purchasing direct from the harpmaker in the USA. We
handle all the importation issues including brokerage fees
and other hidden costs while pricing our in-stock harps in CAD$. [Our custom harp orders are priced in USD$ and give you a fixed cost at the time of purchase] This gives complete certainty of your total cost. Another advantage we offer is that
West Coasters can come and try the harp in our Studio prior to purchase.
Each instrument is usually "seasoned" in that it is kept in
tune while in our Studio allowing the strings to settle
into pitch. Nylon strings take a while to stop "stretching".
Minor tuning bugs and buzzes are also corrected. This is
an added service over direct purchase from the USA.
Email In-Stock Quotes
All the instruments for sale in our Studio are email quoted in Canadian Dollars [CAD$]. There are no financial
surprises once you receive your personal email quote as a
Canadian purchaser. No additional border, freight, taxation costs or misapplied duties to pay. In-stock email quotes are fixed for 7 days
for current stock including shipping costs and are subject to the continued
availability of the harp for sale. All website listed prices
are subject to change without notice. We do not reserve instruments
without your commitment to pay in a timely fashion. The email quote assumes the shipped instrument will be collected from the
specified shipping terminus in a timely fashion as additional
late pick-up/storage fees are your care.
Custom Order Email Quotes for instruments not currently in-stock are valid for 7 days given the extreme currency fluctuations we are currently experiencing. The custom quote will be in USD$. The Custom Order harp will be shipped to you from our Studio upon arrival in Victoria BC from the harpmaker and after our full inspection.
Check out our pitch about the benefits of purchasing in Canada through West Coast Harps.
No Border Brokerage Fees for Canadian Customers
All West Coast Harps floor harp, package harp and hammered dulcimer shipments to Canadian customers originate
from our Victoria BC Canada studio and are, therefore,
not "brokered" through the USA border after we ship to you. You pay zero border brokerage fees with a
West Coast Harps purchase as a Canadian customer. This
can be a considerable saving. For comparison purposes the UPS Canada brokerage fees are the least expensive option for USA sourced shipments from other harp sales outlets. A significant number of instrument shipments from the USA have additional misapplied duties made payable too irrespective of payment method. West Coast Harps does not ship with UPS. Nor does West Coast Harps dropship harps from the USA. We inspect every instrument we sell in our Victoria studio first before shipping to you as a quality assurance.
Non-Canadian Customers
West Coast Harps does not normally ship small, medium or
large floor harps outside of Canada.
